Collaboration between engineers and clinicians in the COLLAGE project

A key highlight of the COLLAGE project is the strong emphasis on collaboration between engineers and medical experts.

As part of this effort, project Co-PI Gabriel Bernardino is leading weekly Python courses for BCNatal clinical researchers. During these sessions, participants learn tools and methods to automate repetitive tasks common in their daily work — such as extracting data from clinical reports or generating analyses automatically.

With hospitals becoming increasingly digital, it is more important than ever for clinicians to understand, interact with, and apply technological tools to maximise their positive impact on patient care and research.
